Bridge Victoria

The  Felicity Beale Mixed Teams is a Victorian State Championship event.  It is Open to all Victorian Players and is for 3 weeks.

It is a genuine Mixed Teams event - i.e in all session teams must comprise of TWO MIXED PAIRS.

The event is named after Felicia Beale who passed away in 2016.

Felicity was a long standing member of the VBA, accomplished International representative and Victorian representative.

Felicity was a wonderful person, full of humour, stories, repartee and a fearsome opponent.

Felicity's Victorian achievements were:

Winner Pennant Teams 1986, 1988 and 1997

Winner Mixed Pairs 1974,76, 1980,89, 1990,91,97, 2009, 2010

Winner Open Pairs 1988, 2001.

ANC Representative Open Teams 1990,91,97,99

ANC Representative Womens Teams, 1976, 77 and 1981

ANC Representative Seniors Teams 2013 and 2016

Her many achievements include representing Australia in the

• World Bridge Teams (formerly Olympiad Women’s Teams) in 1980, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008,
• Australian Venice Cup in 1981, 1987, 1991, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2005 and 2009
• APBF Women’s Teams (formerly Far East) in 1973 (1st), 1978, 1971, 1982, 1984 (1st), 1986, 1987, 1990 (1st), 1994, 1995 (1st), 1997, 1998 and 2007.

Her national achievements include winning the:

• National Women’s Teams in 1981, 1982, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1997, 2002, 2004, 2007,2012 and 2016
• Linda Stern Women’s Teams in 1989, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2011
• Australian Women’s Butler in 1998
• Interstate Women’s Teams in 1976, 1977, 1981, 1984, 1985 and 2006
• Sara Tishler Women’s Swiss Pairs in 2011
• Gold Coast Open Teams in 1998
