GENERAL INFORMATION
Welcome:
This is an NSBC Club championship event and a direct qualifier for the GNOT Final (second stage). This is regionally restricted event and visitors from the Sydney metropolitan region and the surrounding regions (Blue Mountains, Illawarra & Central Coast) are welcome to participate.
Event Format:
X-IMP / VP scoring and Gold Masterpoints. This event comprises of 10 x 14 board matches over 5 weeks. The first 7 matches (weeks 1-3 and first half of week 4). Two balanced pools of 7 teams each will face each other in a round robin of 7 x 14 board matches. The second 14 board match of week 4 will comprise of each pool playing off 1 v 2, 3 v 4, 5 v 6 and team 7 from each pool will play a revenge round. In week 5 the top teams from each pool will face of in a head-to-head match of 28 boards in 2 x 14 board stanzas (with a switch). The remaining 12 teams will play in a 2 x 14 board round Swiss.
Member Discounts:
North Shore Bridge Club members receive a $5 per session discount on all regular face-to-face sessions, online sessions and championship events (excluding congresses). To receive the discount members must select to pay via the Club PP System option when entering.
Close of Entries:
Entries will close on Wednesday 18th February 2026 at 5:00pm. Late entries will be up to the discretion of the tournament organiser.
Prizes:
1st = Entry to National Qualifier (on RealBridge), 2nd = Metro Final Entry (on RealBridge), 1st (Swiss) = Metro Final Entry (on RealBridge).
General Conditions:
Players should be seated 10 minutes before start of play.
Players should be friendly or at a minimum be courteous and respectful at all times.
At a minimum players should put a short description of their system in the chat at the start of each round.
All players should be respectful of the amount of time to play each board and how much of it they use (within reason).
Cameras and Microphones are required to be working and on during the sessions.
Players may switch off cameras and microphones while playing as dummy.
Players should mute the microphone when not speaking if their environment contains background noises.
Players should be well lit (not hidden in shadows).
