We gather for Christmas - the mid‑year kind - oh my.

At 6 o’clock sharp, dinner starts with good cheer,

As our merry helpers guide every dish far and near.

Bring a plate or a bottle to add to the feast,

They’ll keep it all flowing - the chaos, at least.

Then a quick festive team game to warm up the night,

A burst of good fun before bridge takes its flight.

At 7.15, the real play begins,

Pairs teaming with pairs for some friendly wins.

Wear reds or greens or whatever feels right,

There’ll be spot prizes waiting for those shining bright.

And don’t forget something small, wrapped up just so,

For Secret Santa with a twist - how far will it go?

A night full of laughter, good company, and play,

A Christmas in July done the Rogers way.
