GENERAL INFORMATION
This is an Inaugural BAWA event for players with less than 100 Masterpoints as of 1st January 2023.
Swiss Pairs is a competition that consists of a series of short matches where, after the first match, you play against pairs with similar scores. So if you win a match by 7 points, in the next round you will play a pair that has also won by 7 (or thereabouts) points, and so on. You will get a summary of eash match before you start the next match.
It is exciting going up a few tables and frustrating when you go down, but until the last round you have the opportunity to get near the top.
This is a great learning experience if you are new to the game.
Stay for Presentations and nibbles at the end of the day
Location - Undercroft Bridge Ckub
Transport
There is plenty of parking on-site - with some conveniently located ACROD bays.
Catering
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available in breaks between matches
You will need to bring your own lunch
Additional Information
No food or drinks other than water are allowed in the playing area.
If you wish to drink tea or coffee while you play, please bring along a spill-proof cup with a screw-top lid.
