Walk-in Pairs commence Monday 9 May 2022 at 1:00 pm

Swiss Butler Pairs (Open & Restricted) commence 9:40 am and afternoon session at 2:00pm on Tuesday 10 May 2022.

Swiss Teams (Open & BRC 300) - Match 1 commences 2:00pm Wednesday 2:00 pm and Match 8 finishes at 12:45 pm on Friday 13 May 2022.  See attached Barrier Reef Congress Manual for full program.

Entry Fees:   Walk-in Pairs -  $30;  Swiss Butler Pairs  -  $160;  Swiss Teams   $580 (1point = $1)

Gold Points are awarded in the Swiss Butler Pairs and Swiss Teams events.  Red Points are awarded in the Walk-in Pairs.

As per QBA Covid-19 Vaccination Policy all participants must be fully vaccinated.

The ABF Tournament Regulations as modified by the ABF Supplementary Regulations will apply.

Entries close on Monday 2 May 2022.  Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Chief Director

Eligibility for Restricted Events - Masterpoint requirements as at 31 December 2021.  Please see BRC Manual for additional limitations.

• Restricted Pairs:  both players must have fewer than 300mps
• BRC 300:  average masterpoints per player must not exceed 300mps nor any individual have more than 500mps.  Team members who are Life Masters may not play together in a partnership.

Mobile phones are NOT ALLOWED to be used during session times.  Please see the Tournament Organiser, Margaret Dousset, to look after your phone If you are expecting an URGENT call.

Celebrity Speakers' Presentations will commence at 9:30am on Wednesday 11 May 2022.   A minimum $5 contribution to the ABF Youth Bridge.

Peter Busch will conduct a Compscore2 training at a cost of $5 per person.

The Townsville Stadium has free onsite parking for 310 vehicles with 6 dedicated handicapped spaces.

A courtesy bus, available for visitors without their own transport has four pickup stops.  Aquarius on the Beach, Grand Chancellor, Palmer Street and Bowen Road.  Call Rosemary Glastonbury 0422 222 191 to book a seat.  More details in BRC Manual.

You are welcome to bring your own lunch as the closest shops are 10 minutes away by car., however Michel’s Catering  provide pre-ordered sandwiches and salads at the venue.  Orders will be taken at 9am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and delivered prior to sessions end at 1:00pm.  See BRC Manual for details.

Welcome drinks and nibbles will be served on Tuesday at 5:30 pm after the final Pairs Session.

Farewell luncheon will be provided on Friday at 1:00pm - details to be advised.

Water will be provided at stations in the playing area.

Stations with free coffee & tea will be set up in the foyer outside the playing area and available at any time.  Please refrain from taking hot or sugary drinks into the main playing area as spilled drinks may damage the surface of the basketball court. 

Light refreshments will be served at morning &/or afternoon tea breaks.  A coffee van at lunchtime for the connoisseurs to be advised
